Patsy J. Hamilton

Patsy Jean Hamilton, daughter of the late Bill and Fern (Byrd) Parmenter was born on June 23, 1938 at Tyrone, MO.  She went home to be with her savior on December 24, 2021 at the age of 83.  She attended 8 years of grade school at Tyrone and graduated form Cabool High School in 1957.

Patsy was united in marriage to Bill Hamilton on December 22, 1961.  They had no children of their own buy loved every child that came into their life.  She worked at Cabool Shoe factory and Barr’s Variety Store in Cabool.  She was a caregiver to many children and for her mother the last 8 years of her mother’s life.

Patsy was a member of Steely Chapel Church in Elk Creek where she met the Lord in 1998 and was baptized in the muddy Piney River near Houston, MO.  Later, she attended Bethel Bible Church in Elk Creek, MO.  She enjoyed quiet times writing and reading, especially her Bible which she read through yearly until her eyes failed her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Bill; brothers, Ivan Dean Parmenter (Gin), Avon Byrd Parmenter (Lin) and Elvin Lee Parmenter and one sister, Irene Faye Maness (Wayne).  She is survived by a brother, Bill Parmenter and wife, Margie of Foristell, MO; sister in laws, Joyce Parmenter (Lee) of Florida, Marlene Raleigh and Beverly Bennett (Dale) both of Cabool, MO; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who were special to her.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her but will be rejoicing with all that went before her.
