Paul Junior Hicks, 77 years, 4 months, 28 days old, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 2, 2024, at his home in Bradleyville with his family by his side.
Junior was born July 5, 1947, in McClurg, Missouri, to Paul Leslie and Beulah Mae (Turner) Hicks.
On July 16, 1965, Junior and Peggy Martin were united in marriage at Springfield, Missouri, and together were blessed with four daughters.
Junior owned a garage in Bradleyville for a short time and was a mechanic his entire life. Later on he owned and operated a sawmill and was a logger. In addition, Junior raised cattle on his farm. He enjoyed hard work, being outdoors, his garden, and most of all being with his family, especially his grandkids! Junior was saved and baptized in 2006 and was an active member of the Nazarene Church in Bradleyville for many years, serving alongside his wife, Peggy. Junior’s legacy of love and serving will live on in his family.
Junior was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Donna Stevens Sloan and Treva Swearingin.
Junior is survived by his wife, Peggy; daughters and their spouses, Tammy and Jeff Spicer, Lisa and Robert Taylor, Kerri and Dan Hampton, and Misty and Ethan Sims; 10 grandchildren, Zeb (Kara), Julia, Megan (Nick), Wyatt, Emma (James), Kate, Ethan (Zoie), Eli, Olivia, and Rachel; 6 great grandchildren, Silas, Maisy, Nora, Rhett, Logan, and Lainey; siblings, Loretta Stiles, Sarah and Cecil Vaughn, and Danny and Loretta Hicks; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Junior will be Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following at the Martin Cemetery, Bradleyville. Visitation will be Saturday prior to the service at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie Hunsaker. Memorials may be made to Bradleyville Church of the Nazarene or Martin Cemetery.
