Peggy Louise Potts

Peggy Louise Potts, 89 years, 6 months, 18 days, passed peacefully to Heaven on January 20, 2022 at Copper Rock Village in Rogersville, Missouri with her family by her side.

Peggy was born July 2, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas to Harry and Letha (Cantrell) Bradshaw.

She was a former business owner of Peggy’s Gift Shop in Ava. She was also a great Mom and Homemaker!

In 1947 Peggy and Seighfried Watson were united in marriage and to this union eight children were born. He preceded in death in 2009.

In 1964 Peggy and John Wayne Potts, Sr. were united in marriage and to this union three children were born. He also preceded in death.

Peggy was a member of the Happy Home Church in Ava for many years. She played the piano and taught Sunday School there for several years. She loved her gospel music and enjoyed traveling to the concerts and local singings. Peggy also loved following her son, Frank & Linda’s band, The Shades Of Country.  Her joy was her family!

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Seighfried, Jr. “Jay”, Martin Douglas, and Robert Watson, and one brother, Harry Bradshaw, Jr.

Peggy is survived by her children and their spouses: Frank & Linda Watson, Steven & Jean Watson, Mike Watson, Nancy and Leland Barnes, Bill Watson, Deb Potts, John & Kerie Potts, Jr, David & Shelly Potts and a daughter-in-law, Jan Watson;  many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Peggy will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday prior to the service at 12:00, noon. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd. Family requests memorials to the Happy Home Church in Ava.
