Peggy Sue Dickey

Peggy Sue Dickey was born February 14, 1952 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of Louis Lay and Lois (Collins) Lay.  She departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the age of 68 at her home in Thayer, Missouri surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her children, Samuel Dickey, Jr. of Batesville, Arkansas, Jessie Dickey of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; Jeri Slarrow of Dexter, Missouri and Lisa (Robert) Thompson of Batesville, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Moore of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; other relatives; and a multitude of friends.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lois Lay; several aunts and uncles; and one grandson-in-law.

She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

Peggy worked as a seamstress and salesperson.  She especially was a homemaker.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, listening to music, and socializing over coffee with friends.  She also liked jewelry making, drawing and yard sales.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services for Peggy Sue Dickey will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Ed Collins Cemetery near Wirth, Arkansas with Brother Jared Russell officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri.

Burial will be on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Ed Collins Cemetery near Wirth, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
