Peggy Sue O’Neal, 64-year-old resident of Greenwood, AR, departed this life Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born July 31, 1959, in Doniphan, MO, to Lora (Jones) O’Neal of Greenwood, AR and the late Lee O’Neal.
Peggy had worked at the Wal-Mart deli. She liked to cook, crochet, and watch movies. When crocheting, Peggy focused on and enjoyed making afghans. She would often curl up in one of her warm and snuggly afghans and watch a movie This was a favorite way to spend an evening. She loved her dog, Tiny, who kept her company. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her sons, Chris Coons of Fisk, MO and Richard Coons of Moses Lake, WA; brothers, Jimmy O’Neal of Doniphan and Arvil Tyler of Green Forest, AR; and grandsons, Mason, Billy, and Cory.
In addition to her father, Peggy was preceded by brothers, Les Brown and Joseph Harris.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, January 29, 2024, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Brother Kent Miller will be officiating, and burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
