Peter “Pete” John Watt, 86, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, August 26, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Scarborough, Ontario, on June 8, 1938, son of the late John and Doris Eileen Watt. Pete served our country in the United States Navy and during his working years he worked as a contractor and carpenter. He was united in marriage to Doris Sharp on May 25, 2016, in Agnos, Arkansas. Pete enjoyed fishing and building. He could be found most mornings drinking coffee with the guys at Calabama. Pete enjoyed going to scrap yards with Reeder. He loved his family and treated his wife like a queen. He attended Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, Arkansas.
Pete is survived by his wife, Doris Watt of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; daughters, Janette Skaggs of Lake City, Arkansas, Amanda Burrier of Poughkeepsie, Arkansas, Bethany Harris of Lake City, Arkansas, Gracie Nail of Leachville, Arkansas, Emily Nail of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Madalyn Nail of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and his best friends, Brian Reeder, Randy Sutton, Hammer and Jimmy Grisham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Maresa Nail; three sisters and five brothers.
Memorial services will be Saturday, September 7, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM at Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family.
