Raleigh Franklin Miller was born on June 28, 1945 in Pine, Missouri to John and Elda Miller in their cabin on the family farm. He spent all but 6 years of his life in Ripley County and graduated from Doniphan High School in 1963. Raleigh was a carpenter, and electrician and raised cattle up until March 9, 2024, at which time he passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
At age 18, Raleigh married Norma Jean Johnson of Alton, MO, and made a family with 2 children, a daughter Pamela Anglin (spouse Andy), and a son John Miller (spouse Tasha). He is survived by his wife Norma, his mother of 99 years Elda Earle Miller, and both children, Pam and John. Also 8 grandchildren, Mandi (Joe) Thompson, Ashley (Trever) Huth, Kari Anglin, Carissa (Nathan) Cockrum, Cassandra (Nic) Lewis, Keenan (Brandy) Rader, Keller (Bailey) Rader, Jacob Miller, and several great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his sister Arlene Mabrey and father John Wesley Miller.
He was a member of Briar Missionary Baptist Church. He was a special person. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service only will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Pine Cemetery in Pine, Missouri through Clary Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service will be Joe Thompson, Trever Huth, Jacob Miller, Keenan Rader, Keller Rader, and Brett Hudson.
