H. “Riki” Juanita Masterson, was born on March 16, 1938, in Long Beach, California. She passed away at her beautiful Ozarks farm on May 3, 2024.
Riki was quite the lady who lived life to the fullest. She was always a pleasure to be around and was great working with the public. Some of you all may know her from the Thayer Walmart where she worked as a door greeter. She loved to make people smile and enjoyed her job. One of her favorite things to do on every holiday was to dress up for work for that particular holiday. Now, the corporation didn’t like this and told her she wasn’t supposed to dress up in her attire for the holiday, but she didn’t care, she wanted to make people smile. So, her theory was, if they didn’t like her being dressed up when she showed up for work, they could send her home. They never did because she brought joy to so many people’s lives. It was a pleasure to be near her.
She loved the Ozarks and all the beauty it beholds. Riki loved her farm and the seclusion it offered.
She will be fondly remembered by friends and family all over the country. To honor her memory, do something kind for someone or just try to make them smile by greeting them with kindness. The smallest act of kindness might make a huge difference in someone’s life.
