Robert “Cowboy” Tumlinson

Robert Lee Tumlinson Sr, 77, of Cabool , MO passed away on Dec 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on November 29, 1947 in Silsbee, TX, the son of Joe and Carolyn Mae (Cheshire) Tumlinson. 

Robert graduated from Cabool High School. He enlisted in the US Navy on Feb 14, 1967 and proudly served his country until receiving his honorable discharge in October 1970.

Robert married Charlene Loughridge on July 20, 2023 at Mount Pisgah Church in Cabool, MO. Robert and Charlene were soulmates. Their love story began in 1977 and was put on hold for several years as they both went on to have other spouses and children. They were reunited in 2017 and never left each other’s side. Together they shared 11 children and numerous grandchildren. 

Robert worked in the Oilfields and was a retired IronWorker, but he spent most of his life doing what he loved, Ranching! Robert enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing, and wood carving.

Robert was saved and rededicated his life to the Lord in 2022 and he became a member of Mount Pisgah Church, where he loved attending services. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Tumlinson and Carolyn Davis; brother, Jim Williams; daughter, Kari Tumlinson and grandson, Brady Tumlinson.  Robert leaves behind his wife, Charlene Tumlinson; children, Shane and Kathy Tumlinson, Shawna Tumlinson, Bobby and Jolene Tumlinson, Adam Fix, Nocona Thompson and Andy Combs, Kristy and Cole Suter, Priscilla and Tyler Medine, David Keeling and Rebecca and Robby Johnson; six sisters; numerous grandkids and great-grandkids; nieces, nephews and friends who were family.  Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew him. If you ever met “Cowboy” you wouldn’t forget it
