Robert Glenn Hanson, Jr.

Robert Glenn Hanson Jr., known affectionately as Glenn, passed away on November 15, 2024, in Lancaster, California at the age of 81. Born on January 15, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Glenn was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served his country with distinction during the Vietnam conflict. His dedication to service was a significant aspect of his life, and he was a decorated Marine, embodying the values of honor and commitment throughout his service and beyond.

Glenn’s passions included fast cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, a testament to his spirited and adventurous nature. He was a true patriot, deeply loving his late wife, Darla Rauhauser, and cherished his pets, who were constant companions over the years.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter Christine Johnston (Raoul Johnston), son Richard Farrell (formerly Hanson), and ex-wife Donna Farell (formerly Hanson) and stepson Paul Virgili ( Lidia Virgili). Glenn was a grandfather to six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darla, his father, Robert Glenn Hanson Sr., and his mother, Liselotte Herta Hanson (née Meyer).

Details regarding funeral services are to be announced at a later date. The Doty Family Funeral and Memorial Services in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, is overseeing arrangements. Glenn’s legacy of bravery, love, and patriotism will be remembered by all who knew him.
