Bob Pollard, a resident of Willow Springs, MO passed away at his home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. He was born January 16, 1963, in Rolla, MO to Charles “Ed” Edward and Marie Rose (King) Pollard and was 60 years old.
Bob was a graduate of Willow Springs High School and upon graduation, he joined the United States Army. In the army, he worked as a forward observer with an Airborne Unit. He also successfully completed US Army Paratrooper and Ranger schools. After retiring from the military, he worked for Kraft Foods in Springfield, MO, he also worked as a project manager for Coastal Energy and a City Administrator for Willow Springs. On March 2, 1995, he married the love of his life Amy Catherine Berry in St. Lucia, West Indies. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman. He loved his little corner of the woods. He enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors from simple exploring to backroading in his Jeep, to hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time collecting and talking guns with his son, Blake. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Marie, and his brother, David.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Amy; his son, Blake and fiancée, Paige Gipson; his sister, Donna and husband, Scott Reid; his sister, Beth and husband, Mark Clippard; his brother, Doug Pollard; his in-laws, Diane and Jerry Jones, and Jim and Kathy Berry; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Carrie Berry. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
A service with military honors will be held for Bob at a date yet to be determined at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, located at 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804.
