Robert Pulley Sr.

Robert Ray Pulley, Sr., a resident of Willow Springs, passed away early Sunday morning, December 29, 2019, while at his daughter’s home. He was born June 13, 1933 to James Harvey and Eva Ruth (Wood) Pulley in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and was 86 years old.

He graduated from Willow Springs High School. Robert was an inspector for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing Aircraft Company for 30 years. He retired in September of 1988. Robert was married in Willow Springs to Jane Anne Bailey. He became a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church as a child and was very faithful and active in the local church. After his retirement, he enjoyed his time at home raising calves. He also spent many hours carving human figurines out of stumps using a chainsaw. His favorite times were spent camping and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and all who knew him.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Robert Pulley, Jr; his brother, Jim Pulley; and a sister, Janice Bitzer.

He is survived by his daughter, Eva Hale and her husband, Larry of Willow Springs; two daughters, Karen Weintz and her husband, Mike of Sullivan, MO, and Sandra Taylor, also of Sullivan. Further survivors include four grandchildren: Angela Lopez, Alisa Altermatt, Stephen Hale, and Tyler Collins; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mr. Pulley will be held January 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 314 N. Walnut, Willow Springs, MO, with Pastor Brett Randall officiating.
