Robert Royce Buttke was born on April 16, 1945, in Fargo, ND to Leroy and Leona (Utke) Buttke. He passed away on June 29, 2026, in Houston, MO at the age of 81.
On February 2, 1985, he married Tascha Armstrong.

During his lifetime, Robert was a sergeant in the United States Air Force, a coal miner and a powerplant engineer.
He leaves behind his wife, Tascha; children, Royce Buttke and Julie Meachum; siblings, Neal Buttke, Roy Buttke, Davis Buttke and Denice Menger; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
