Mildred Roberta (Smith) Creiger, daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Gant) Smith, was born October 21, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away November 16, 2023, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was 77 years and 26 days of age.
Bert, as she was known by to many, grew up and graduated high school in Kansas City. She worked various places in and around the Kansas City area. She worked for Western Electric in parts assembly and for a time she worked for the city of Oak Grove, Missouri, as treasurer and court clerk. On January 6, 1967, she was united in marriage to Larry Creiger. One son, John, was born to this union.
In her spare time, Bert enjoyed reading and crocheting. She crocheted many wonderful things for family and friends.
Besides her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Creiger, of the home in Mountain Grove, one son, John Creiger of Kansas City, Kansas, one sister-in-law, Beverly Coble of Mountain Grove, one nephew, Kent Coble and his wife, Sharon, of Independence, Missouri, one niece, Mandy Brock and her husband, Mike of Fair Grove, Missouri, cousin, Mike Creiger and his wife, Diana, of Fair Grove, Missouri, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends that will miss her very much.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, at 10:00AM at Hillcrest Cemetery, North Main Street, Mountain Grove, MO 65711
