Ron Duane “Ronny” Blackburn, 65, of Marshfield, Missouri, born in Belleville, Kansas, on October 26, 1960, passed away on June 15, 2026.
If you knew Ron, chances are you knew his laugh before you saw his face.
He had a way of making every room feel lighter. His smile was contagious, his sense of humor unforgettable, and his heart seemed to have endless room for the people he loved. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or only a short while, Ron had a gift for making you feel like family.
He was the kind of man who never missed an opportunity to tell someone he loved them. He gave hugs freely, laughed loudly, showed up when people needed him, and found joy in making others smile. His kindness wasn’t something he tried to display—it was simply who he was. Selfless and generous, Ron found joy in giving, whether it was his time, encouragement, thoughtful gifts, or simply making someone else’s day a little brighter.
Nothing brought Ron greater happiness than spending time with his family. He loved watching sports, reminiscing about his own days playing athletics in high school, attending horse shows, fishing, and especially playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether he was casting a line, cheering from the sidelines, or simply making everyone laugh, Ron found joy in the little moments shared with the people he loved.
Above all, Ron’s life was anchored by his deep faith in God. His faith shaped the way he loved others—with grace, generosity, forgiveness, and hope. He often reminded those around him, “I’m just a tiny fish in the ocean, searching…” Those words reflected the humility with which he lived and his lifelong pursuit of God’s purpose. His family finds comfort knowing that his search has come to an end and that he is finally home with his Savior, reunited with Tammy, Jordan, and all those who welcomed him into eternity.
Ron worked throughout his life at Zenith, York Casket Company, and Spray Equipment, where he was known as a hardworking and dependable man.
Although his family grieves deeply, they find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with those who went before him.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tammy Blackburn; his son, Jordan Blackburn; his parents, Dale and Rosalyn Blackburn.
He is survived by his brothers, Rick Blackburn (Margaret), Randy Blackburn (Orvella); his sisters, Vicky Gibson (Dave) and Roxanne Allen (Richard); his stepdaughters, Tonya Johnson (Matt) and Stephanie Hall (Codi); his grandchildren, Keaton Johnson, Kenadie Coffee (Dustin), Parker Johnson, and Hailey Johnson; his treasured great-grandchildren, Colter and Oaklynn Coffee; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever changed by his love.
To know Ron was to know unconditional love. His laugh will be missed. His hugs will be missed. His ‘I love yous’ will be missed. But the love he gave so freely lives on in every person fortunate enough to have known him.
His family hopes those who knew him will honor his memory by hugging someone a little tighter, laughing a little louder, saying “I love you” a little more often, and showing kindness whenever possible. Those are the things Ron did every day, and they are the gifts he leaves behind.
