Ronald Gurgel, son of the late Arnold and Shirley (Read) Gurgel, was born June 26, 1946, in Blue Island, Illinois, and went home to his Lord and Savior on March 31, 2023, at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. He was 76 years old.
Ron graduated from Glen Ellen High School in Illinois in 1964. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for Rheem, as the coordinator for four departments, and he retired after thirty years.
Ron was united in marriage to Holly Wahlquist on May 5, 1983. One of Ron’s favorite sayings was, “I know nothing. Ask my wife.”
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Shirley Gurgel and by his brother William.
Ron is survived by his wife, Holly Gurgel, his four children, June Antisek, Ronnie Gurgel, Jennifer Krull (Pat), Randy Sundberg (Ann), three grandchildren, Aaron Antisek, Kayla Krull, and Bobby Krull, as well as a host of family and friends that will miss him very much.
