Russell Steven Rosenburg, known as “Rusty” to his many friends and family, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2020, while at Mountain View Healthcare. He was born March 1, 1954 in Mountain View, Missouri to Emmett William and Helen (Nicholson) Rosenburg.
His parents and baby sister, Joyce, precede him in death.
He is survived by one brother, Dean Rosenburg and wife, Diane, of Holt, MO; one sister, Norma Lewis and husband, Jerry, of Birch Tree, MO; and a host of nieces and nephews that Rusty adored.
Rusty loved fishing and all sports, especially football. He was a dedicated fan of the Liberty Eagles, and could often be heard alongside the local radio announcers during games. He knew stats, plays, and who was coming up in the ranks. Rusty played guitar and enjoyed playing with friends. He also like riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He was a favorite with the residents and staff at Mountain View Healthcare.
He will be missed by friends and family alike.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2020 at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, with Rev. Nolan Wilkins officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Rusty’s name to Parkinson’s Foundation. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
