Ryan Allen Chick

Ryan Allen Chick, 18 of Cabool, MO departed this life on August 4, 2022.  He was born June 24, 2004 in West Plains, MO.  He is survived by his parents, Heath Chick of Cabool and Sandra and stepfather, Karl Kootz of Pomona; one brother, Justin Chick; one sister, Emily Chick; grandparents, Rick and Sheila Collins of Cabool and Doyle and Jodeen Chick of Ocala, Florida; great grandparents, Lloyd and Shirley Collins of Willow Springs and Jim and Kay Collins of Cabool; with a host of cousins, uncles, aunts and many, many classmates and friends. Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Pauley.

Ryan loved life, people and his family; he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and had recently bought his own boat. He also greatly enjoyed the outdoors and loved to deer hunt in the fall.

Ryan attended Cabool Schools and graduated this year with the Class of 2022.  He worked with his Poppy at Rick’s Truck Repair learning the skills needed to be a diesel mechanic. Ryan was attending further training at a Iron Eagle Welding school in Stockton, Missouri. He had a beautiful voice and was a solo artist in the 2019 All State Choir. The love he showered upon others drew people to him and he never met a stranger.

Ryan was a shining star who loved people and always had a bright smile on his face. His instructor referred to him as a leader and he touched the lives of many who are heartbroken at their loss.

God grant me the serenity

And the wisdom to know the difference.
