Samuel David Johnson Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the age of 71 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Samuel D. Johnson & Clares L. Jones – Johnson, his four brothers, Wilburn & Lilburn, Hubert & Eugene, and one sister Eunice Lainchbury.
He is survived by his siblings: Sylvia Howard of Covington, IN, Delmar Johnson (wife Sandy) of Kileen, TX, Myrtle Vaughn of West Plains, MO, Frances Nelson of Pierce City, MO, Joyce Eakins of Chicago, IL, Flarnce Northcutt of Mt. Vernon, IL, Larnce Johnson (wife Ellen) of West Plains, MO, Laverne Snyder (Husband Tommy) of Ozark, AR, Ella Eakins of St. Louis, MO, Kathlene Johnson of Bloomingdale, MI, along with a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting, talking with family & watching TV. He was loved dearly by his family and friends. David’s life will be celebrated in a private ceremony by his family and his ashes will scattered in some of his favorite places
