On March 3, 1973, Sharon was united in marriage to Ronald Joe Davis in Miami, Oklahoma. “Yes, I was a Davis and married a Davis,” was something she spent the majority of her life telling people. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Biloxi and Laurel, Mississippi. To this union, two daughters were born: Kerri DeAnn and Rebecca Jo.

Sharon was saved and baptized at an early age, and throughout her life attended First Baptist, Midvale and the Summersville Christian Church. She was a woman of strong faith and not ashamed to share it with everyone. Proverbs 3:5-6 were her favorite verses.

Sharon graduated as the salutatorian of the 1968 Summersville High School class. Four years later, she graduated with a degree in psychology from SMSU and later pursued a degree in Elementary Education from SBU. In 1986 she began her teaching career. She spent the next twenty-three years touching the lives of students. She retired in 2009 but was still known to give you a lesson sometimes, whether you asked for it or not. She was referred to as “my favorite teacher” by many.

Rarely would you meet her that she wouldn’t give you a smile, hug, or advice. Oftentimes, all three. She loved to read and write and was known for her messages of encouragement and truth. Traveling and spending time with her family were her greatest joys. “Mom”, “Grammy”, and “Aunt Sharon” were her favorite titles.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Horton and Ann, stepfather Ecil Scott, brother John Davis, nephew Greg Davis, and in-laws Joe and Dema Davis.

She is survived by husband Ron of the home in Summersville, daughter Kerri Hills and husband Donald of Fremont, MO, daughter Rebecca Boom of Grain Valley, MO, three granddaughters, whom she was so proud of, Mallory, Cassidy and Natalie Hills, special niece Kimberly Woodson, three great-nieces Marque Renshaw, Tabbitha Kirkman and Samantha Thompson, two great-nephews Isaiah and Zachary Woodson, and seven great-great-nieces and nephews, Roger, Farrah, Asher, Cole, William, Gus and Sharon Kay, as well as a host of family and friends.

She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her.
