Shelby Ray Breedlove

Shelby Ray Breedlove was born on May 21, 1946, in Heber Springs, Arkansas to John Aron Breedlove and Stella Elizabeth (Gibbons) Breedlove. He passed away September 18, 2024, in Licking, Missouri, with family by his side. Shelby served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service he worked as an auto worker for Chrysler for 30 years until his retirement. Shelby enjoyed hunting and fishing and shared his love for hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids. He also loved fast cars and riding his motorcycle and had plenty of good stories to tell about both. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He attended the New Life Free Will Baptist church and was board member for the United Community Help Center in town and could often be found at one or the other lending a hand and visiting with others. Over the years he made regular visits to the nursing home to visit residents and could always be counted on to help out wherever he was needed. Shelby is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorene Johnson; and brother, Jim Breedlove. He is survived by his wife, Linda Breedlove; sons, Joey Breedlove and wife Angie and Scott Breedlove and wife Lisa; sisters, Alta Osborne, Pat Hildreth, and Charlene Jones; five grandchildren; and many other close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Community Help Center in Licking.
