Sherry Donita Henry

Sherry Donita Henry, 79, of Glencoe, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Salem, Arkansas. Donita was born on October 6, 1944, in Batesville, Arkansas to Lowell Dean Smith and Bernice Gwendalyn (Walker) Smith. 

Donita was united in marriage to Milton Dee Henry on November 30, 1962, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Donita spent her working years as a bank teller with The Bank of North Arkansas in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. She was a precious soul, deeply devoted to her family, who meant the world to her. Her days were filled with the joy of rocking her grandbabies and indulging in her beloved crafts. Every evening, she ensured a bountiful meal was ready for the entire family to enjoy together. A talented seamstress and an award-winning artist, she poured her heart into everything she did. Her love for Dee was boundless, and now they are reunited forever. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and was of the Christian faith.

Donita leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Joni Gaskins and husband Jeff of Glencoe, Arkansas, Jill Huskey and husband Josh of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Dena Barnett and husband Travis of Glencoe, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Jessica Estes (Zachary), Ashley Raymo, Tyler Smolenski (Brooke), Erin Taylor (Phillip), Nick Gaskins (Meghan), Cody Barnett (Shaun), and Kaci Thomas (Josh); fourteen great grandchildren, Chloe Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Sophie Taylor, Bryson Taylor, Dylan Gaskins, Gabriella Gaskins, Landon Jones, Abigail Jones, Olivia Raymo, Bearick Raymo, Luke Barnett, Mollie Thomas, Layah Barnett, and Junie Thomas; brother, Stevie Smith (Sue) of Franklin, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (Dee Henry), parents (Lowell and Bernice Smith), and grandson (Joey Gaskins). 

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Private family services for the interment will be held later with Bro. Tyler Fox officiating. Memorials may be made to John 3:16 Ministries, 150 Holmes Road, Charlotte, Arkansas 72522. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
