Sherry Lynne Lease, 71, born February 5, 1951 in East St Louis, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at home in Theodosia, MO, after a short battle with cancer.
Sherry met the love of her life, Ron and married in 1987. They purchased and renovated an 1860’s farm house in Smithton, IL. They owned an ice cream and video store in New Athens where Sherry met many good friends. In 2001 Sherry and Ron moved to Theodosia, MO and purchased Noland Point Resort on Bull Shoals Lake. This is where they met lifetime friends from all over the country and made so many good memories around the campfire. In 2015 they sold the resort and built a home with a beautiful lake view of Bull Shoals. Sherry enjoyed time with her family and friends, her favorite fishing spot, remodeling homes, taking care of her furry kitty friends, and of course talking politics! Sherry will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph “Sonny” and Ethel Jarosik; sister Barbara Meinders; mother-in-law Clara Lease; brother-in-law Larry Lease; sister-in-law Jeanette Rovertoni.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Lease, a son Jason Lease; grandchildren Peyton and Dalton Lease; sisters Dorothy (Fred) Nugent, Nancy (Vincent) Rivera, Kathy (Brian) Wayt, brother-in-law Tim Meinders; sisters-in-law Carol Lease, Belinda (Robert) Smith and Pamela Lease; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
