Stella Glendoris Tetrick

Stella Glendoris Tetrick, 88 years, 11 months, and 9 days old, went home to Jesus on August 6, 2024, with her family by her side.

Glendoris was born August 27, 1935, in Douglas County, Missouri to Donald Bliss and Reva (Lambert) Russell.

Glendoris was raised in Douglas County, Missouri. She attended Black Jack School and later Skyline school and then received her GED.   

On July 24, 1952, Glendoris and Hase Tetrick were united in marriage at Hardy, Arkansas, and to this union three children were born, Gary, Mike, and Becky.

She and Hase lived and worked in Davenport, Iowa where they had their children. She worked at Bell Telephone there, and then later, when they moved to Webster County, she worked at Royal McBee Typewriter Co. Then they purchased a farm in Webster County, and she began working on the farm. Later on in 1984, she and Hase opened the Pine Ridge Trading Post Store in Brixey, Missouri. 

Glendoris enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs! She was a Christian and a member of the Gentryville Church. Taking care of her family was her priority. Her faith was strong, and now she is with her Lord. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary; sister, Rowena Forbes; brother, Oscar Russell; and her granddaughter, Dusty Dawn (Tetrick) Davis.  

Glendoris is survived by her husband, Hase Tetrick; son and wife, Mike and Sherry Tetrick; her daughter and husband, Becky and Joe Heitz; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren;  many nieces; nephews; extended family and numerous friends.  

Funeral services for Glendoris will be Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Blanche Church, Drury, Missouri with burial following in the  Blanche Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:30 A.M. in the church.  Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Shumate and Pastor T.J. Stout. Memorials may be made to the Gentryville Church.
