Steven Eugene Friend, 67, of Rogersville, MO passed away June 1, 2024 at his residence surrounded by family and friends. He was born February 6, 1957 in Kansas City, MO to Elija and Myrene (Harring) Friend.
Steven was a 1976 graduate of Gainesville High School. On July 20, 1990 he was united in marriage to Rhonda Swearengin at their home in Rogersville, MO. Steven worked for thirty years at Kraft Foods in Springfield. He loved to fish in his spare time, but most of all he just loved being with his family. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Friend of the home in Rogersville, MO; his siblings Mike Friend and wife Kathy of Isabella, MO, Debbie Mahan of Rogersville, MO, Ronda Plumb and husband Jim of Springfield, MO, Eric Friend and wife Missy of Isabella, MO. He was adored by his nieces and nephews: Jennifer, Daniel, Telea, Heath, Tatum, Josh, Braidon, Ashlyne, Lulu, Hayden. He is also survived by his best friend, his dog “Khloe”.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2024 at The Bridge of the Living Word Church in Theodosia, MO. Officiating will be Bro. David Homer Jr. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
