Sue Bettis

Kathryn Suzanne Bettis, 77 years, 1 month, 16 days old, passed away on March 6, 2024, at her home with her family by her side.

Sue was born January 18, 1947, in Sturgis, Michigan to Lorenz Henry and Myrtle Ilene (Asbury) Rambadt.

Sue grew up in Sturgis and later moved to Wisconsin and graduated from Madison East High School.      

On January 20, 1968, Sue and Lee Bettis were united in marriage in Madison, Wisconsin. Together they were blessed with two children, Chris and Becky. 

She worked at Ava Drug as a Pharmacy Technician and also a Cashier for 25 years. 

Sue was raised in the Baptist faith and was a member of the Union Grove Church. She loved her family, her Ava Drug friends, fishing, gardening, flowers, birds, butterflies, her chickens, and the beach. 

Sue’s legacy of love and kindness will live on and never be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Lorenz Rambadt; and one grandson, Brodie Hawk Bettis.        

Sue is survived by her husband, Lee; children and their spouses, Chris and Julie Bettis, Becky, and Mark Gann; grandchildren, Misty and Chris Wilkerson and Cody Combs; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Bodie, Treylyn, and Coy; her sister, Shirley Norman; two special aunts, Sharon and Marlene; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

Services for Sue will be Monday, March 11, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Union Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Monday at 9:30 A.M. 

Officiating will be Pastor David Koenig. Memorials may be made at Union Grove Cemetery.
