Tami Rene Banta, 63, of Willow Springs, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on February 24, 1962, to Marvella Stillwell in Springfield, Missouri.
After high school, she became a CNA. She had five children with her first husband, Jim Stillwell, and one child with her late husband, Robert Banta.
Tami was a very loving and devoted mother who loved her grandchildren even more. Even though she couldn’t attend church anymore, everyday Bible Study was a must. She loved her plants, gardening, watching her birds through the window, watching ghost stories, and watching and wrestling with her kids.
Tami is preceded in death by her mother, Marvella; her son, James Kurt; and her siblings, Terry, Robert, Gary, and Janice.
She is survived by her children, Dustin Stillwell and wife Sarah of Willow Springs, MO, Demetra Cooper and husband Mark of Willow Springs, MO, Brent Stillwell of Willow Springs, MO, Sarah Dunlap and husband Clint of Mountain Grove, MO, and Bryce Banta and wife Katie of West Plains, MO; grandchildren, James, Adalia, Chayse, Clinton, Jazmyn, Zaydee, Sophie, Kyle, Atreyu, Gage, Ember and Kynedi; along with spouses of grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, James, Pam, Cimmie, Yvonne, Tonya, and Tim; and many nieces and nephews.
She was stubborn as a mule but loved like there was no tomorrow. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts. We know it is not goodbye but see you later. Rest in Heaven Momma.
A private Celebration of Life is planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
