Thelma Jobe

Thelma L Jobe, 97, of Alton, Missouri, was born December 11, 1925 in Reynolds, Georgia, and passed away February 28, 2023 at Shady Oaks Health Care in Thayer, Missouri.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Thomas Porter Masters and Millie Malone Masters, sister; Flora Vining, brothers; Homer, Zeb, Bill and Ray Masters, Husbands; Henry Herbert, Rev.John Bird, and Bruce Smith.

Survivors include her husband of the family home, Chester Jobe, son; Ted Herbert, grandson; Glenn Jordan, and great grandchildren; Hope and Luke Jordan, several step-children and great grandchildren, and many special friends.

Thelma loved to serve the Lord, and served right along side her husband Bro. John Bird in many states across America and as a missionary in Old Mexico to the Tzelta Indians. She enjoyed, and was fantastic at cooking and crocheting as long as her health allowed. Being an avid reader and experienced businesswoman,

Thelma could converse fluently with anyone on any topic. She loved every fur baby she ever had, and cherished her friendships deeply. Thelma was thoughtful, compassionate and zealously generous.

Thelma has Gone Home, and her deepest desire is that all would come to the saving knowledge and faith in Christ Jesus.
