Theo Louetta Jenkins, 86, of Gainesville, MO passed away January 10, 2023 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. Known to family and friends as “Lou”, she was born November 4, 1936 to Arthur and Ruby (Carter) Strong.
Lou married William “Fred” Jenkins and they enjoyed many years together living and working in Wichita, KS. Lou was a registered nurse and worked in many areas of hospital and private practice. Before moving back to Ozark County, Lou and Fred finished their careers in public service. Ozark County Health nurse and Gainesville school nurse were Lou’s final positions. Lou was an avid student of the bible and a member of “The Church of Christ”. Lou will always be loved and missed by her family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Gainesville Healthcare Center for Lou’s care.
Lou is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Frances Johnson; nieces: Teresa Hicks and husband Dan, Lisa Monkres, Patricia Jenkins, Connie Jenkins Taylor; nephew Eric Johnson and Linda; and close friend Greta Bradley. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ruby Strong; and her husband Fred Jenkins.
