Theodore Lee Collins, 71 years , 4 months, and 10 days old, passed away on June 24, 2024, at his home with family by his side.
Theodore was born February 14, 1953, in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, to Harry Hubert and Anna Lue (Hurst) Collins.
Theodore was an Army Veteran. He served honorably and retired after over 20 years of service.
Theodore and Karen Burnett were united in marriage on July 19, 1975, in Jeffersontown, Kentucky.
Theodore enjoyed watching football and loved his Dallas Cowboys.
Theodore was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brian; and brother, Michael Collins.
Theodore is survived by his wife, Karen; his children and their spouses, Jennifer and Reggie Smith, Angela and Travis Nesbitt, Melissa and Jonathan Frey; grandchildren, Amanda Whigham, Autumn and Nathan Miller, Brian Collins, Blaine Watkins, Jordan and Hayden Hunter, Cade and Ashley Smith, Aubrey Nesbitt and Carsen Nesbitt; two great-grandchildren, Tripp and Charlie Hunter; two sisters, Linda and George Owens and Carol Wise; nephew, Galen Owens; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Theodore will be Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri. Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery with full military honors. Officiating will be Stasey Sheppard. Memorials may be made to the Hurst Cemetery. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
