Tommy Roy Mitchell, son of the late Roy Tommy and Mary Lee (Burdick) Mitchell, was born June 24, 1959, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life June 19, 2022, at his home near Hartville, Missouri. He was 62 years, 11 months, and 26 days of age.
Tommy grew up on the family farm near Hartville and graduated from Mountain Grove High School. He was united in marriage to Darla Stinson on August 25, 1995, in Hartville. Tommy worked for several different employers over the years including Brown Shoe Company and Hutchens Industries. Most recently he was helping with farm work for the Davis family and McDaris family. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.
Besides his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Mitchell and one step-son, Casey Morris.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Darla Mitchell of the home, son, Jacob Mitchell of Mountain Grove, daughter, Jolena Mitchell of Norwood, Missouri, step-son, Cory Morris of Ozark, Missouri, sister, Betty Jarrett and husband, Ted, of Hartville, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
