Tyler Douglas Flores was born September 16, 1994 in Columbia, Missouri to Doug Flores and Amanda (Freeman) Hayes.
He is survived by his parents, Amanda and Darrell Hayes of Licking, MO; and Doug Flores of St. James; Arth and Cheryl Brown of Edgar Springs; three sisters, Lyndsey and Brandon Greenhalgh of Vero Beach, FL, Trish and David Francis of Paris, TN, and Melissa Buckner of Cabool, MO; two brothers, Darrell Hayes Jr, and Arth and Madrigal Brown of IL; aunts and uncles, Celena Black of Edgar Springs, Steve and Pat Buckner of Licking, Ronda and John Fox of Edgar Springs, Cheri Jones of Cuba, MO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dale and Emalee Freeman, and Jim and Mary Black; uncles, Gary Freeman, Jimmy Black, and Dallas Black; aunts, Glendonna Ottaway; cousin, Shane Black, whom wasn’t just his cousin but his best friend. I’m sure they’re up there together causing trouble.
Tyler started riding four-wheelers at four years old on the Freeman Farm. In fact, Grandpa Freeman bought Tyler his very first four-wheeler. He fell in love with riding them and motorcycles, and if they broke down, he was quick to fix it. His favorite pastime caused his mother and grandpa a lot of grey hairs and grandpa a lot of scoldings from grandma. Tyler also loved to hunt and fish and stay at the cabin on the Freeman farm with his buddies. But most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
Tyler graduated from Licking High School in 2013. He took the state map test his freshman year and made 100% on it but would not go to accept his awards because he didn’t want his friends to know he was smart.
Tyle will be greatly missed and loved by so many.
A Celebration of Life will take place October 7, 2023 at the Salem Eagles Club at 4:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date beside his grandparents, Dale and Emalee Freeman in Edgar Springs.
