Walter Wendell Lunsford, Jr., 69, Pottersville, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at his home.
He was born August 8, 1956, at Denver, Colorado, to Walter Wendell Lunsford, Sr. and Julia Dean Carr Lunsford. Mr. Lunsford was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force. Before his retirement he worked in security and heating/air. He enjoyed working outdoors, hunting, wildlife, tinkering and was an avid collector of things. Mr. Lunsford was a talented artist and had earned 2nd place in the 1980’s for a drawing.
He is survived by three children, Walter “Dell” Lunsford, III, Pottersville, Missouri, Miranda Harmon and husband, Scott, Bald Knob, Arkansas and Rebekah McGhee and husband, Terrance, Ward, Arkansas; his friend and the mother of his children, Lesa McFadden, San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Alexander, Robert, Elesabeth, Nathaniel and Taylor; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Finley; one brother, Paul Lunsford and wife, Betty, McRae, Arkansas; two sisters, Wanda Lunsford, Little Rock, Arkansas and Paula Gay and husband, Ritchie, Conway, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Brindle, Goofy, Zo-zo, Red and Angel.
His parents, two sisters, Carol Lunsford and Mary Harris and one brother, Jim Lunsford, preceded him in death.
