Wayne Edgar Weaver was born November 19, 1932, in Clear Springs, Missouri to Archie and Alzada (Pruett) Weaver. He departed this life on November 11, 2020.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 60 years, Mary Sue; siblings, Wesley and Laverne Weaver, Ollie Howard and Clione Bunce; and two sons, Victor and Mike Dickison.
He is survived by three children, Keith (Nita) Weaver of West Plains MO, Anita Weaver of Mountain View, MO, and Jay (Kristi) Weaver of Hollister, MO; and daughter-in-law Linda Dickison; five grandchildren, Brian (Michele) Weaver, Kurtis (Kayla) Weaver of Springfield, MO, Haley (Taylor) Davisson of Hollister, MO, Jeremy (Heather) Wagner, and Ashley (Jason) Tucker of Springfield, MO; and seven great-grandchildren, Brenden, Courtney, and Ethan Weaver, Bryan and Blake Tucker, Bryce and Brooklyn Wagner.
Wayne and Mary Sue met in Cabool, Missouri, where Wayne was a co-owner of a furniture store. They moved to Mountain View in, 1965, where he became an auctioneer and had a cattle auction with Calvin Kaut. He worked real estate auctions and later built an RV Park and auction business between Mountain View and Willow Springs. He opened a music venue for Larry Deatherage and friends to jam, called Weaver’s Pickin’ Parlor which grew to be well-known.
He always volunteered his auction services selling pies and cakes for the Mountain View Health Care for their Fourth of July Celebrations.
He will always be remembered for his saying, “Keep smiling”. His friends and family will always remember this when they think of him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2020, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Pastor Robert Medley officiating. Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View, Missouri.
