Allen Edgington, 81, of Theodosia died December 22, 2024 in West Plains, MO. He was born March 27, 1943 in El Dorado, Kansas. He was the beloved son of Boyd and Ruby Edgington.
Allen spent his formative years in Kansas before serving his country with honor in the U.S. Navy. On February 14, 1966 he married the love of his life, Judy, and together they raised three children: John, Kenny, and Sherri.
In the early 1990’s Allen settled in Ozark County where he became an active member of his community. He volunteered with the local fire department as a first responder. He was also a dedicated volunteer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla.
Allen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his children, Kenny and Sherri, his granddaughter Danielle, and three great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, son John, grandson David, and his brother Wes.
It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of his son-in-law, Danny, on March 6, 2025—a loss that would have deeply saddened him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the VFW in Isabella, Missouri.
