Willa Dean Jackson

Willa Dean (Sandefur) Jackson was born October 22, 1940 in Newark, Arkansas and passed into the arms of Jesus on November 3, 2024 at 84 years of age in Ash Flat, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Jackson; parents, Luther and Clivie Sandefur; two brothers, L.C. “Shorty” and Lavern Sandefur; and sister, Ruby Milligan.

Willa is survived by a loving family and was married to the love of her life, Bill Jackson, for 65 wonderful years. They were united in marriage April 25, 1958. Surviving children who loved her dearly are Teresa (Rick) Rikard of Center Ridge, Arkansas (formerly of Batesville), Lyndol (Carrie) Jackson of Newark, Arkansas, and Deanna (Kirk) Brink of Hardy, Arkansas; grandchildren: Sarah (Darris) Dixon, Charles (Malena) Rikard, Joshua Jackson, Elisabeth (Brian) Washburn, Bradley (Kaylee) O’Neal, Alex Brink, Miranda (Bradley) Morrow, and Zachary (Murphy) Bloomfield; eighteen great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Lucy Ann Manley of Kansas City, Missouri; and brother-in-law, Benny Dugger; many other relatives and a host of good friends.

Willa was a loving wife, a Christian, and a member of the Spring River Baptist Church. She worked for Tripp Gas Company for several years. Willa enjoyed gardening, archery, bowling, making crafts, growing roses, and fishing. Her greatest passion was her family. She really loved the grandkids and great-grandkids; they would light up her day!

Visitation of family and friends will be Tuesday, November 5, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tri-County Funeral Home at Highland, Arkansas. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the funeral home with grandson Charles Rikard officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery west of Hardy.

Pallbearers will be Alex Brink, Zach Bloomfield, Kaden Brink, Gage Brink, Walker Brink, Darris Dixon, Deanie Dixon, Riker Dixon, Bradley Morrow, and Joshua Jackson.

Honorary Pallbearers include Derek Brink, Henry Rikard, Davy Rikard, Bradley O’Neal, Royce McClure, and Donward Wiles.

“Mom, rest in peace until we meet again.”

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Services are entrusted to Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.
