William “Bill, aka Pappy” Alfred Eudy was born February 24, 1947, in Bunker, Missouri, to Verna Mae Tucker-Eudy and Clifford Donald Eudy. He departed this life to be with his King on September 16, 2023, at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 23 days.
Preceding Bill in death are his parents; grandparents; his brother, Clifford Donald Eudy (Nedra); sister-in-law, Becky Chaney-Eudy (Stanley); brother-in-law, Dave Christensen (Brenda); and brother-in-law, S.C. “Slim” Potter (Alice).
Bill is survived by his wife; children; granddaughter; and siblings, Stanley Kevin Eudy of Jacksonville, FL, Brenda Irene Eudy-Christensen, and Alice Beatrice Eudy-Potter both of Houston, MO, and their children; as well as other extended family. Uncle Bill was the best!
Bill was united in marriage on December 23, 1969, to Glenda Lynn Staton-Eudy of Mountain View, MO. During their 53 years of marriage, two children were born, son William Joseph “Billy Joe” Eudy of Springfield, MO, and daughter Paula Jean Eudy-Blevins (Gilbert) of Mountain View. Bill was blessed with two granddaughters, Sarah Grace Blevins, and Jesslyn Elaine Blevins, both of Mountain View.
Bill served in Vietnam during his military career with the United States Navy. Upon retirement from military service, he worked for the City of Mountain View for approximately 15 years. Once fully retired, Bill continued to serve others. Bill’s first love was for Jesus, and this overflowed to his church, family, and friends. He attended Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs, Missouri, for over 20 years and was a committed servant. Glenda, Paula, Sarah, and Jesslyn were Bill’s “Girls” for whom he did anything needed for their care and support. He was their husband, father, Pappy, maintenance man, teacher, cook, and friend. Bill’s soups, grilled cheese sandwiches, and fried potatoes will be sorely missed! His love for those around him was unconditional and he touched the lives of many. Rest high in the arms of Christ.
A family-guided memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at West Side Family Life Center, Willow Springs, Missouri, with Pastor David Lovan officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
