William Thomas “W.T.” Fears, passed away on November 3, 2019, in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 91 years, seven months and five days. He was born on March 29, 1928, to Otho and Valerie (Chitwood) Fears in Owls Bend, Missouri.
W.T. married Charlene Honeycutt in Winona, Missouri in July 1957, and to this union, six children were born; Clayton, Thomas, Deborah, Connie, Scott, and Aaron.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Otho and Valerie; five brothers, Arthur, Clayton, Joseph, Luther and Daniel; five sisters, Dolly, Samantha, Ellen, Amanda and Geneva; one infant son Scott.
He is survived by his wife Charlene of the home; children, Clayton Fears of Winona (Yvonne of Van Buren), Thomas Fears of Winona, Deborah Hunter (Rob) of Burson, California, Connie Bywater (Jim) of Coos Bay, Oregon, Aaron Fears (Melonie) of Kansas City and Bill Barnes (Linda) of Centerville; two sisters, Stella Honeycutt and Della Weber; twenty-two grandchildren, Kenny Crawford, Kevin Harrison, Carl Kendrix, Cheyenne Kendrix, Kimberly Fears, Jason Fears, Scott Fears, Ray Doliate, Christin Hunter, Regina Hunter, Ronald Lipsett, Jame Lipsett, April Burkett, Brian Burkett, Deena Bywater, Justin Bywater, Britiney Buren, Crystal Bess, Chance Bess, Vicky Barnes, Melissa Crosby and Bobby Barnes; and multiple great-grandchildren.
W.T. loved to go fishing and hunting in the Ozark hills, deliver meals to the homes of shut-ins and offering transportation to those in need. He was a CB member of Double O Buddy Club in Stockton California and the Citizen Patrol also in Stockton. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle at Winona, having received Christ and being baptized at the age of 90 at Rocky Falls in Shannon County. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, November 08, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Yarber Mortuary- Birch Tree Chapel. Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 9 at Church of God of Prophecy in Winona, with burial at Montier Cemetery.
