William L. Iser, 92-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life, Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was born January 25, 1932, in Cumberland, MD, to the late Charles J. and Adeline (Neff) Iser.
William had been an auto mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking, playing solitaire, and gardening. William had served in the United States Marine Corps and then re-enlisted in the Air Force during the Korean War.
William married Doris Watson in 1950. They had been married 72 years before she passed away on December 31, 2022. He was also preceded in death by four of his siblings.
Surviving is his daughter, Kathy Monaghan of Doniphan; two brothers, Teddy Iser of Littlestown, MD and Vincent Iser of Thurmont, MD; grandchildren, Bill (Paula) Monaghan, James (Sonya) Monaghan, Rob (Christy) Monaghan, Jeff Monaghan, Brian (Tasha) Monaghan, and Brittney Monaghan; 27 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
