William “Willie” Earl Perkins was born July 11, 1943 to Ray Albin Perkins and Elma Narciss (Bridges) Perkins in Willow Springs, MO. He grew up in Willow Springs, attended the local schools and graduated from WSHS with the class of 1961. He passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, MO on May 22, 2021, at the age of 77.
He is survived by his wife, Carol “Kazie” Miller Perkins of 43 years; brothers and sisters: Jessie (Perkins) Bennett and her husband, Jackie; James A. Perkins; Janice (Perkins) Burns; Helen (Perkins) Campbell; Ray I. Perkins and his wife, Mickey; Ellen (Perkins) Fullen and her husband, Bob; Carol (Perkins) Roper and her husband, Charles; Ralph Perkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray A. and Elma N. Perkins; Justin Eli Perkins; Velma((Perkins) Walker; Justine (Perkins) Benedict; and Mary K. (Perkins) Taylor.
Willie spent several years in the U.S. Army serving his country. Later, he was self-employed in the logging business for nearly 50 years. He also enjoyed raising huge vegetable gardens as well as honeybees.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Chad Langrehr and Mike White for all the care they have given to Willie and Kazie.
To honor his memory, the family would like to invite family and friends to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at the Noblett Lake Pavilion at 1:45 P.M. with a luncheon to follow.
