Wink was a trucker at heart, that went by “Running Bear”.  He was one of a kind; he’d drive a regular vehicle just as he did a semi, fast and hard.  He was passionate about a lot of things, especially his family, grandchildren, his dogs, NASCAR and semis.  He loved watching his son, Jesse playing ball of any sort; he was his best friend and pride and joy.  They shared the love of NASCAR and went to several races together.

Wink loved his grandchildren so much, there wasn’t very many times he didn’t have at least one of them.  You couldn’t scare him with babysitting; they’d be spoiled and dirty faced when they were ready to go home.

Wink had been married to Elizabeth for the past 20 years and she is the love of his life; he would go to the ends of the earth and back for her, they were a match made in heaven.

Wink was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Donna Hale and an infant brother, Steven.  He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of the home; son, Jesse of the home; daughters, Amber Wilson and husband, Billy of Cabool, April Hale of Cabool and Shelby Ince and husband, Daniel of Hartville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his bonus mom, Lavaughn Hale of Cabool; step-brother, Rick Martindale and a host of family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him; he would move heaven and earth for them all.
