Wilma Jewel Mielke, 95 years, 6 months, and 22 days old, passed away on, May 9, 2022 at Strafford Care in Strafford, Missouri.
Wilma was born October 17, 1926 in Ozark County, Missouri to Mackie and Mabel (Smith) Hathcock.
She was a devout Christian and when able would attend church.
Wilma loved sewing and gardening. She could make anything out of nothing. She made many quilts for family and friends over the years.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Leroy Sowards, Billie Bilderback, and Richard Mielke; three brothers, Willard Hathcock, Martin Hathcock, and Clifton Hathcock; and a sister, Pernie Adams.
Wilma is survived by her daughter Deana and husband Dan Scott; grandchildren, Heather and Larry Boin, Heath and Ashleigh Evans, Josh and Bethany Evans, Mike Sowards, Darold Sowards, Randy Sowards, Gary Sowards, and Kathy Collins; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin and Austin Willhite, Justin and Michaela Boin, Kaylynn Evans, Lexie Evans, Parker Evans, Owen Evans; great-great-grandchildren, Avery Willhite and Kinsley Willhite; brother, Trellis Hathcock and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Wilma will be Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Mt. Tabor Church, Ava, MO with burial to follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to service time. Officiating will be Pastor James Hathcock. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc. Ava, MO.
