Winferd Earl Smith was born May 3, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Maude (Hodge) Smith. He passed away March 6, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 87.
He was united in marriage to Doris Smith on August 29, 1954. They were blessed with one son, Rodger E. Smith.
Winferd loved hunting and running his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maude (Hodge) Smith; one brother, Dallas Smith; sister-in-law, Evelyn Smith; brother-in-law, Bob Keeling; his wife, Doris Smith and son, Rodger Smith.
Winferd is survived by his daughter-in-law, Donna (Cruz) Smith; grandchildren, Kristy (Jonathan) Roth and Brandon (Alicia) Smith; great-grandchildren, James, Finley and Kaylee Roth and Emma Mason and Alexia Smith; a sister, Elliene Keeling as well as many nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
