Zelma Loretta Tate, 74, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away on October 12, 2024, at St. Andrew’s at Francis Place, Eureka, Missouri. She was born August 18, 1950, to Herbie Porter and Reva Imagene (Holt) McAfee in Van Buren, Missouri. Zelma was united in marriage to Everette Tate on August 24, 1968, in Mountain View, Missouri.
Zelma is preceded in death by her husband, Everette Tate; father, Herbie McAfee; and sister-in-law, Louise McAfee.
Survivors include her children, Kevin (Sheila) Tate of Gray Summit, MO, Travis (Tami) Tate of Eureka, MO, Jessica (Gavin Jones) Tate of Pacific, MO; mother, Reva (Holt) McAfee of Birch Tree, MO; siblings, Chet McAfee of Birch Tree, Brenda (David) Hard of Mountain View, MO, and Troy (Margaret) McAfee of Winona, MO; grandchildren, Austin (Brittney) Byrd of St. Peters, MO, Megan (Caleb) Tweeton of Robertsville, MO, Marissa (Noah) Brocato of Pacific, Haley Tate of Pacific, Alec Lonsberry of Branson, MO, Dylan Tate of Eureka, Jaxon Jones of Pacific, and Alivia Jones of Pacific; and great-grandchildren, Charlie Byrd of St. Peters, Rhett Byrd of St. Peters, Owen Tweeton of Robertsville, Evan Tweeton of Robertsville, and Ivory Lonsberry of Branson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at New Testament Church of Jesus Christ, Winona, Missouri, with Pastor Troy McAfee officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona, Missouri. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. also at the church. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri.
