Funeral services for Zenephan (Mickey) Callahan, 84, Pottersville, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Callahan passed away at 10:05 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at his home.
He was born October 29, 1939, in Howell County, Missouri, to Zenephan H. Callahan and Bertha V. Fox Callahan. On April 10, 1966, he was married at Brandsville, Missouri, to Lois Vandiver. Mr. Callahan was a certified welder and had worked at Amyx and Jeffers before his retirement. He was the biggest Chiefs fan and loved hunting, fishing, old cars and his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Callahan, of the family home; two children, John Callahan and wife, Tina, Pottersville, Missouri and Darin Callahan and wife, Jaclyn, Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Vance, Terlton, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Tyler Callahan and wife, Holly, Devin Callahan and wife, Rachel, Levi Callahan, Lucas Callahan, Jace Callahan and wife, Makayla, Bret Callahan, Makayla Ward and husband, Chance, Allison Moore and husband, Henry, Isabella Carter and husband, Hunter and Jessica Callahan; eleven great-grandchildren, Chance, Chanel, Clayton and Chayleigh Ward, Kenna, Luca, Honey, Ian, Kendra and Athena Callahan and Wyatt Mitchell; one sister-in-law, Sharon Callahan, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one son, Mickey Charles (Chuck) Callahan, four brothers, Lue, John, Lewis and Franklin and four sisters, Lorene, Sarah, Darlene and Jane, preceded him in death.
Mr. Callahan will lie in state from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pottersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Pottersville Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
