Riley Simpson is a Senior at West Plains High School who will be graduating in May 2021. Riley has participated in Cross Country and Track all 4 years. As a Senior, Riley was Ozark Conference Champion, District Champion, 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Region and All-State for cross country. Riley was MSHSAA Class 4 State Champion for cross country and was also named Class 4 Cross Country Runner of the Year.
Riley also competed at the Running Lane Cross Country National Championship in Huntsville, Alabama where he placed 43rd in the nation. Riley is currently in his track season for his senior year and he is ranked first in the state for the 1600 m, 800 m, and 3200 m. Riley has signed a national letter of intent to attend MSSU in Joplin, MO starting in the Fall of 2021 where he will continue his running career and major in Physical Therapy.
