Andy Reid blew off the chatter about the alleged favoritism his Chiefs have been getting.
The Kansas City coach was asked about them when he was on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Wednesday, a few days afrer his team’s AFC Championship win over the Bills.
The game wasn’t without its fair share of controversy, which included a questionable spot late in the game that ended the Bills’ hopes of winning and an Xavier Worthy catch that was deemed suspect by a number of fans watching.
McAfee broached the subject in typical McAfee fashion by making a joke about it.
He asked Reid, “You and the refs are meeting like what, tonight, for the Super Bowl? Is that what’s happening?”
“Yeah right,” Reid replied back. “Listen, I try not to pay attention to any of that stuff.
Several others connected to the organization have pushed back on the idea that the Chiefs have been successful due to the refs helping them.
