Alec Burleson also went deep for the Cards, who dropped to 28-and-30. St. Louis is now tied for second in the NL Central at 28-and-30 and will continue its three-game set tonight.

The Cardinals could be looking to add to their staff. According to The Athletic, the Cards will likely look to add a starting pitcher. St. Louis is considering itself a buyer to acquire another veteran starter. Mets lefty Jose Quintana is one of the names that could be on the block. Quintana started 12 games for the Cardinals in 2022 and posted a 2.01 ERA.
