Coming off a 3-7 record last year, and only having 4 starters return to the team, the Willow Springs Bears opened up their 2023 football season Friday night at home.
Their first opponent of the year was the California Pintos. The Pintos came in strong, and unfortunately for the Bears, would take control of the game early. On the opening kickoff, California would run it all the way to the end zone to take a quick 7-0 lead.
Willow Springs gave up 42 points in the first 2 quarters of the game, and went on to lose the disappointing home opener by a score of 56-0
