The Willow Springs Bears welcomed the Thayer Bobcats to town on Tuesday night. The Bobcats are ranked #3 in class 3. The first quarter was failry even, with both teams scoring and shooting the ball well. The Bobcats were able to rebound a bit more than the Bears and were able to gain a slight advantage. Thayer led 20-12 after the first quarter.
The second quarter saw both teams go on scoring runs. The Bobcats started the quarter on a 11-0 and leading by 19. Willow Springs responded with a 8-0 run of their own. The Bobcats led at halftime 38-20.
During the third quarter the teams traded 3 point shots on multiple trips down the court. The Bobcats were only able to add to their lead by 2 points, leading 54-34 after three quarters. The fourth quarter played out much like the third quarter did. The Bears were able to cut into the slightly. The Bobcats were able win the game 65-50.
The Bears will be back in action Friday, against Mountain Grove. The game will be on 100.3 KUKU.
